Our story

Twelve years of slow cooking and open hearts

Masala House began in 2012 as a nine-table room in the Inner Circle, run on Veer Kapoor's handwritten recipe book from Amritsar. Today we seat 84 guests across two floors — but the rules haven't changed: spices roasted and ground every morning, dal given its full 24 hours, and no shortcuts on the dum.

Our chefs come from three kitchen lineages — a Punjabi tandoor, a Kerala spice cupboard and a Hyderabadi biryani handi — which is why the menu travels the country without leaving Delhi.

Word of mouth

What our guests say

"The butter chicken here ruined every other butter chicken for me. And the biryani is proper dum style — you can taste the saffron in every grain."

"Booked for our anniversary — they remembered the cake note, decorated the table and even sent up kulfi with a candle. Service feels like family."

"As a vegetarian I love that there's a genuinely separate kitchen. The dal makhani and malai kofta are the best I've had in Delhi, full stop."
